What You’ll See at the Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place on the second Sunday in March. Get ready to eat, drink, and do the jig! Here’s what you can expect from this year’s festival.
Food & Drink
St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to indulge in scrumptious food and ice cold brews from local vendors. TAKA, the Stone Pony, Cross & Orange, and Wonder Bar are just a few bars and restaurants participating in the event. Enjoy traditional Japanese eats at TAKA during the Green Dragon Buffet, then head to the Stone Pony or Wonder Bar for a couple of pints. Both of these historic venues offer delicious beverages and a prime location to view the parade.
Asbury Park’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts promptly at 1 p.m. on the corner of 5th and Ocean Avenues. Antique cars, floats, and marching bands continue down Ocean Avenue to Cookman Avenue before finishing on Main Street. Don’t miss live music on the Lakehouse Music Academy float or the Asbury Lanes float! Excellent entertainment is also available at the Review Stand in Press Plaza. It’s sure to get you in the Irish spirit.
The fun doesn’t end when the parade stops. Check out the Party After Parade, a family-friendly event that gives back to the community. All proceeds are donated to the Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade to keep the event going for years to come.
Other Fun Festivities
Continue the party at the Luck of the Irish Pub Crawl! You can join hundreds of partiers dressed in green for drink specials at some of the best bars in town. All of the participating venues are within close proximity to each other, so it’s easy to stroll to the next place and wet your whistle.
Local Tip: After purchasing your Pub Crawl ticket, head to the registration bar on the day of the event for your map and wristband. The map will be your guide to all the participating venues!
